3. Liga side Saarbrücken continue their sensational DFB-Pokal campaign when they host Borussia Mönchengladbach in a quarterfinal at Ludwigspark on Wednesday night.

Having previously upset Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt, Saarbrücken will be hoping to claim another Bundesliga scalp on Wednesday.

However, they haven’t had the ideal build-up to the match, having failed to win in three 3. Liga matches in 2024.

As one of only three Bundesliga teams left in the tournament alongside Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart, Gladbach know they have a genuine chance of going all the way.

But getting the better of Saarbrücken is easier said than done, as both Bayern and Eintracht have already discovered.

Die Fohlen are on a three-match winless streak, but have put in decent performances against top sides Bayer Leverkusen (0-0 draw) and Bayern Munich (3-1 defeat) in their last two outings.

Saarbrücken will be without Becker, Jacob, Neudecker and Schmidt, while Cvancara and Omlin are unavailable for Gladbach.
