When Union Berlin parted ways with Urs Fischer, Bo Svensson and Ralph Hasenhüttl were quickly touted as possible replacements.
However, according to German football magazine Kicker, neither is a candidate for the job.
Svensson is not ready to take on a new job after his two-and-a-half-year stint in Mainz recently came to an end, the report claims.
Hasenhuttl has been without a job for a year, having last managed Southampton, but has turned down all job offers since parting company with the English side in November 2022.
Union Berlin have put Marco Grote in charge on an interim basis, and he will lead the club into Saturday’s clash with Augsburg.
