Sevilla player Suso has spoken in an interview with El Pelotazo on Canal Sur Radio. In the interview, the 29-year-old discussed all things Sevilla, including the arrival of Sergio Ramos, José Luis Mendilibar, and the start of the new season.
The Gaditano also took the time to praise current PSG head coach Luis Enrique, and at the same time did not hold back on former Sevilla boss Jorge Sampaoli. “The worst coach? Sampaoli,” said Suso in words reported by Marca.
Close to leaving Sevilla
He went on to reveal that he was close to leaving Sevilla in the last winter window. “In December I spoke to Monchi and he asked me: ‘Suso, what are we going to do?’ I had just come back after the ankle injury and the easy thing to do was to say, ‘I’m leaving’, try to get into another first team and get some games under my belt. I told Monchi that I was going to last longer than Sampaoli and that I would end up playing.”
