Whether Serhou Guirassy will be able to make his return to the VfB Stuttgart squad for Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund is up in the air.
At his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeness said he wanted to wait for the final training session before making a decision on the striker’s participation.
“Guirassy took part in some of the team’s training today. He’s doing quite well so far. But we have to wait and see. He hasn’t been able to take part in full training yet and we don’t want to take any unnecessary risks,” said Hoeness.
After Friday’s training session, Hoeness will consult with Guirassy and make a decision on his inclusion.
In any case, Guirassy will not be in the starting line-up against Dortmund.
The 27-year-old striker scored 14 goals in 8 Bundesliga games before picking up an injury.
