Waldemar Anton and VfB Stuttgart are reportedly closing in on a contract extension.

VfB Stuttgart are reportedly close to extending the contract of captain Waldemar Anton.
According to Bild, the Swabian club are in advanced talks with the centre-back over a new deal.
The report also claims that both the club and the player have expressed a willingness to extend the contract beyond 2025, with only a few details to be ironed out.
Anton has been linked with moves to Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg, as well as abroad, but has responded to the speculation by insisting he is happy at Stuttgart.
