Stone Cold Names 4 WWE Superstars on Current Roster That Have ‘It’

The ‘IT’ factor. In WWE, there are certain personalities who just have ‘it’. The complete package. The look. The in-ring presence. The microphone skills. The ability to instantly connect with the audience.

Over the years, certain Superstars have shown that they have it all. Hulk Hogan. Shawn Michaels. Bret Hart. The Rock. Stone Cold Steve Austin. John Cena. Roman Reigns. Cody Rhodes.

All of these names have shown that they can carry the company on their back when needed.

Stone Cold

One of those names, Austin, is still revered backstage to this day. The Texas Rattlesnake was probably the biggest name in all of wrestling in the late 1990s, with perhaps only Bill Goldberg in WCW able to match the insane crowd reaction every time that the sound of breaking glass resonated throughout the arena. Austin would march to the ring, in his signature black trunks (or denim shorts) and black leather vest, ready to ‘whoop somebody’s a**!’

Austin himself has publicly acknowledged that he is a fan of certain rising Superstars, and he has named four particular individuals who he sees as having that ‘IT’ factor.

He was speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, where he was asked which Superstars he likes and which he feels have ‘IT’.

Rhea Ripley

WWE Rhea Ripley

Signed to WWE in 2017, the Adelaide, Australia native is a two-time Women’s Champion. She started out on NXT UK, then worked her way up through NXT, and then her main roster call-up. She is a Women’s Triple Crown and Grand Slam winner, gaining every championship available to her. After aligning herself with the Judgment Day stable in 2022, she began developing her ‘Mami’ persona, winning over audiences with her unique look and ring presence. She would eventually break away from that group, forming a tag team with fellow Judgment Day stablemate Damien Priest (The Terror Twins).

Along with Bianca Belair, she was the first female WWE Superstar to have her own 2k cover. She has also crossed over into the gaming world, with appearances in the Call of Duty and Clash of Clans series. She was recently unsuccessful in her attempt to win back the women’s title at WrestleMania 41, with Iyo Sky retaining the title in a triple threat match with Belair, who was pinned.

On Ripley, Austin said: “Well, she’s doing it right. I mean, she’s been around…. you know, she’s a veteran, but she still gets better. I like the way she bumps. She takes a lot of pride in the way she bumps, the way she sells. She’s a solid, physical person.”

Charlotte Flair

The daughter of ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair, Charlotte has been continuing her father’s legacy, while forging a name in her own right. One of the ‘Four Horsewomen’ of NXT, along with Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Becky Lynch, Charlotte is a 14-time World Champion, just two short of her legendary father. She is also the only multiple winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble. She made her NXT debut in 2013 (beating Bayley) and has never looked back. Like Ripley, she is a Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion. Also, like Ripley, Charlotte was unsuccessful at WrestleMania 41, a losing effort to Tiffany Stratton.

Austin said: “I’d like to see Charlotte get back on track with her career because I love her.”

Bayley

Another of the famed ‘Four Horsewomen’ of NXT, Bayley holds, along with Ripley, the longest Women’s Championship reign (380 days). She was the first woman to complete the Triple Crown and Grand Slam. She has evolved her career from doe-eyed fangirl to Hugger, and then the ‘Role Model’. She formed the dangerous ‘Boss N Hug Connection’ with Banks, which led them to Tag Team gold. Unlike Ripley and Charlotte, Bayley didn’t compete at WrestleMania 41 this year. She was due to team with Lyra Valkyria to take on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in a tag team title match, but she was attacked backstage and injured (in storyline). She was replaced by the woman who would later admit to unleashing the attack, Becky Lynch, so when ‘The Role Model’ returns, she will no doubt have ‘The Man’ in her crosshairs.

On Bayley, Austin said: “Bayley didn’t get to perform at WrestleMania. I don’t know if they are starting an angle with Becky Lynch. I mean, Becky’s back.”

Bron Breakker

WWE's Bron Breakker.

This year has seen Bron Breakker move through the gears and could well be the next breakout star if he can keep his current momentum up. From his version of the Spear, which cuts through opponents like a knife through butter (just ask Carlito and IShowSpeed!), to the connection he has with his ‘Dawgs!’, Breakker is currently in a major storyline, aligning himself with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman. He is set to team with Rollins at Backlash against Roman Reigns and CM Punk, who Heyman betrayed at WrestleMania. The son of Rick Steiner and nephew of Scott, Bron has utilised some of the maneuvers and mannerisms of his legendary lineage, including the ‘FrankenSteiner’ and the ‘Steiner math’.

Austin is definitely a fan of Breakker’s work, stating: “I love what Bron is doing, want to see how he improves. It’s interesting to see what he does with Paul Heyman. Man, if Heyman can’t get the best out of you, you’re a lost cause, and that kid has blue-chipper written all over. Under the tutelage or learning tree of Paul Heyman, I look for big, big things from Bron Breakker.”
