Bremen’s Public television program “buten und binnen” claims that Spanish left-back Aaron Martin may be in the Hanseatic city state for a medical.

Departing FSV Mainz 05 fullback Aaron Martin may actually be in the process of finding a new destination within German football. A reliable local public broadcasting sources claims that the 26-year-old is at the Weserstadion for a medical with SV Werder Bremen. After confirming his departure from Mainz on an expiring contract, the free-agent has been loosely linked with Italian and Spanish sides.
It never seemed particularly likely that Martin would wish to stay in German football and the Bremen public television program (“buten und binnen”) does note that the Spaniards presence at the stadium is corroborated neither by the club nor any other sources. The sensational signing of Baby Keita earlier this month nevertheless does leave many German football watchers curious as to the rumor’s veracity.
