Nice-Matin are reporting that OGC Nice are set to complete the signing of former Aiglon Romain Perraud (25). The Southmpaton player will undergo his medical on Monday.
Nice had looked set to sign Aston Villa’s Lucas Digne, but ultimately the Frenchman looks like remaining at Villa Park. The former Everton left-back has had an impressive start to the season with Unai Emery’s side. With the deal for Digne dead in the water, Nice actiavted their plan B option.
Perraud is set to undergo his medical on Monday before completing a loan move. The deal will include an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season. The purchase option is reportedly “very economically accessible,” according to Nice-Matin.
Perradu came through the ranks at Le Gym, but only made four first team apperances for the club before joining Stade Brestois in 2019. This season, he has only played once for Championship side Southampton.
