Silas heading for the exit door at Stuttgart?

Several reports claim that Villarreal are pursuing the signing of Silas Katompa Mvumpa from VfB Stuttgart.

Silas Katompa Mvumpa is apparently considering leaving VfB Stuttgart.


According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Sportitalia and Sky Germany, Villarreal are interested in the 25-year-old winger.

Sportitalia goes as far as to claim that Silas is close to joining the Spanish La Liga side.

However, a deal seems less likely if Sky Germany are to be believed, with the German media outlet claiming that Villarreal are considering a long with an option to buy, but Stuttgart have not received an offer and Silas doesn’t want to leave this month.

Silas has been in and out of the Stuttgart starting line-up this season, making a total of 19 appearances with five goals and four assists to his name.

He’s currently at the African Cup of Nations representing DR Congo, who face Guinea in the quarterfinals on Friday.
