Sheffield United are set to announce their new manager Chris Wilder after he took training on Monday morning following the sacking of Ruben Selles at the weekend, according to Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan.
Selles was appointed as manager of the Blades back in June, joining the club on a three-year deal. United finished in the play-offs last season after coming third, but they were knocked out by Sunderland in the final at Wembley Stadium, with Tom Watson scoring a last minute winner to break the hearts of the Sheffield club.
Wilder was in charge for their play-off push, but he was relieved of his duties and replaced by Selles. That was his second stint in charge of the club, but he now looks set to return once again.
