Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy will make his decision on whether he stays at the club today.
Guirassy has a release clause which is worth 15-20m in his contract that expires today. If no club activates the release clause before the deadline it is likely that the 27-year-old will stay at the club this season.
If a club does show interest in Guirassy after Friday, the cards will be in the hands of Stuttgart who will be in a much stronger negotiating position.
Guirassy joined Stuttgart initially on loan last summer from Rennes before making his move permanent this summer for €9m.
In the case of the 27-year-old’s departure, Stuttgart reacted by bringing in Deniz Undav on loan from Brighton in the Premier League, however, the striker will miss the first few weeks of the season after suffering a partial ligament tear in pre-season.
