With preparation well underway for the 138th edition of the Klassiker between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, Serhou Guirassy has handed die Schwarzgelben a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s Topspiel.
After being an unused substitute for Guinea’s game against Mozambique before returning to Germany early due to injury, missing his nation’s 2-2 draw against Botswana, Guirassy took part in full Borussia Dortmund training on Wednesday, giving his side a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s Klassiker.
As reported by Kicker, Guirassy’s involvement against Bayern Munich isn’t in doubt and with the exception of long-term absentees Emre Can and Julien Duranville, Niko Kovač is expected to have a full squad available, although Aarón Anselmino isn’t likely to be match fit following his partial integration back into the first team following a recent injury.
With four points separating Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich and second-placed Borussia Dortmund heading into the Matchday 7 clash, it’s all to play for as BVB look to close the gap.
