As reported by Spanish radio station Cadena SER, PSG’s former Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos is keen on a return to his boyhood club Sevilla this summer.
Ramos, now 37, is set to see his PSG contract expire in the coming days and has reportedly been open to a La Liga return for some time having left Andalucía 18 years ago for Madrid. Despite strong interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, Ramos has privately expressed his desire in a return to southern Spain despite enduring a fractious relationship with some sections of the club’s fanbase while playing for Real.
Despite Ramos’ ‘clear intention’ to join Sevilla, discussions are yet to get of the ground say the station after the player rejected the chance to stay in Paris. Spanish club are not as keen to see Ramos return, making a deal unlikely say the outlet even though the former Spain international would be open to significantly lowering his wages to re-sign.
Since joining PSG in 2021, Ramos has played 58 times, scoring six games having struggled badly with injury in his first season.
