Sergio Canales does not want to miss Real Betis’ Europa League last-16 first-leg tie against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday, report AS.
The midfielder trained with the rest of his team-mates on Tuesday and has been named in the 23-man squad that will travel to England this week. He was seen with the ball in the session, although it was also evident that he was wearing a strap on his left thigh, where he suffered a recent injury that has kept him out of action.
Canales’ muscular problem saw him left out of Manuel Pellegrini’s squads against Elche and Real Madrid, but the match against United is so attractive that the captain will be doing everything possible to be able to play for the Andalusian side.
Nabil Fekir has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign and will therefore miss both legs.
