Sergi Canós has wanted a transfer to Valencia for many weeks now. The saga has been long and difficult for all parties involved, as reported by Relevo.
Valencia initially attempted to sign him, but Brentford blocked the move. Then Valencia claimed that they would not pay a transfer fee. The third update was that Valencia and Canós had reached an agreement on personal terms.
During all of the twists and turns in this transfer saga, Anderlecht expressed an interest in Canós, but he was not interested in the move to Belgium.
Now, the stage has been reached where the player is demanding a move, and telling Brentford that he will not stay at the club.
Canós was on the record saying, “I’m dying to play for Valencia”, a couple of months ago, and since then, his desire to play in Spain has only increased.
Brentford will either have to sell their Spanish winger, or face losing him for free next year.
