Davie Selke’s agent, Akeem Adewunmi, has confirmed that there is a lot of interest in his client.
FC Köln striker Davie Selke has attracted interest from a number of foreign clubs, according to his agent Akeem Adewunmi.
Adewunmi addressed a possible departure from the relegation-threatened Bundesliga club in an interview with Sky Germany on Monday, saying:
“I can confirm that there are several interested parties from abroad for Davie. We have also received a concrete and very well-funded inquiry from Saudi Arabia. It is clear that Davie identifies 100 percent with 1. FC Köln and wants to continue playing in the Bundesliga with them,” Adewunmi said.
“A possible relegation would not make things any easier as his current contract would no longer be valid. I can confirm that. But Köln is our first contact. We will now see what is possible and what the people in Köln have in mind.”
Selke, who has found the net six times for Köln this season, is out for the season with a broken metatarsal.
The Billy Goats sit in 17th place, five points behind Mainz in the relegation playoff spot, with two games left to play.
