Davie Selke says goodbye to Hamburger SV and joins Istanbul Basaksehir FK.
After departing Hamburger SV, Davie Selke has chosen to continue his career with İstanbul Başakşehir FK.
The striker’s move to Turkey was confirmed late Friday.
“The past year at HSV has been the most emotional of my entire career,” said Selke, who played a key role in the club’s Bundesliga promotion by scoring 22 goals last season.
“Everything that we were able to experience together last season, including our successful promotion, will forever remain in my heart and in my mind. Every single goal scored for HSV, every celebration with the fans and especially the moments out on the pitch after the game against Ulm, as well as our promotion party at city hall – they will all remain unforgettable memories. I’m extremely grateful to my teammates, coaches, the staff and the incredible fans.
“HSV will forever remain a part of my life. I wish HSV all the best in the Bundesliga!”
