FC Schalke 04 have extended the expiring contract of Marcin Kaminski for another season until 2024.

“Marcin is an experienced defender who has played in both the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga and has been promoted to the Bundesliga three times,” said Schalke 04 Director of Sport Peter Knäbel.

“He fully identifies with Schalke and has already proven how important he is on and off the pitch.”

Kaminski emerged as a key player at the back for Schalke 04 in the second half of the season, making nine appearances and scoring three goals.

He follows Henning Matriciani in extending his contract with the relegated Gelsenkirchen outfit.
