Schalke 04 are struggled to score goals and win games. For that reason, head coach Frank Kramer is looking at singing FC Sion forward Filip Stojilković in the January transfer window, according to Bild.
The Swiss U23 striker has been in top form for his side so far this season scoring five goals in ten league games. Stojilković was a point of interest for Schalke this summer with the club even making contact with the 22-year-old. However, nothing ultimately came of the discussions.
Stojilković confirmed to Bild that: “Schalke made me an offer. An attractive club that I would like to play for.” He finished his statement in a way that sparked hope for Schalke fans. “At the moment I am fully concentrating on Sion. We’ll see what happens in winter.”
If his words are to be believed then Stojilković could be up for a move to the Bundesliga at the next available opportunity. If this is the case, the ball is in Schalke’s court who will almost certainly have to reinforce their attacking options if they wish to stay in the top flight.
