RMC Sport have confirmed CBS Sports’ report, linking Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar (31) with a move to the Saudi Arabian top-flight.
Neymar is being heavily linked with a departure from PSG this summer, however, few clubs would have the financial means of pulling off a move. The Brazilian hasn’t played since late February, having suffered a season-ending injury against Lille OSC, and there is a chance that he has already played his last game for Les Parisiens.
Manchester United have been touted as a potential destination, and according to Foot Mercato, Neymar would be keen on the move. However, the transfer seems contingent upon Qatar’s takeover of the Old Trafford club. INEOS are Qatar’s main rival in a protracted bidding process.
Saudi Arabia, who missed out on bringing Lionel Messi to the Gulf State have switched targets, and have been in Paris speaking with Neymar’s entourage. However, having arrived for talks on Friday, the former Barcelona forward’s entourage has indicated that the player wants to remain in Europe this summer.
