Samassekou has asked to join Olympiacos

Hoffenheim midfielder Diadie Samassekou is trying to join Olympiacos on the last day of the Greek transfer window, according to Kicker.

Per Kicker, Diadie Samassekou has fallen out of favor in André Breitenreiter’s team and is likely to join Olympiacos. The Greek summer window closes today, September 15th, and Samassekou is pushing for the transfer. The 26-year-old defensive midfielder has only played 34 minutes of Bundesliga football this season.

Samassekou moved from Salzburg to Hoffenheim for €14 million in 2019 and has since made 86 appearances for the German side. His contract expires in 2024.
