Roma are inching closer in materializing the acquisition of full-back Lorenz Assignon as the Giallorossi have reached a full-agreement with French outfits Stade Rennes.
Sky Sport reports, via TMW, reports that the capital club will pay a €1m-€2m fee for a season loan that will include an obligation to buy worth €8m for the 24 year-old defender.
With Leonardo Spinazzola having departed for Napoli and the Giallorossi seeking to offload Nicola Zalewski, coach Daniele De Rossi’s side view Assignon as the ideal profile to fill the void out-wide, as they have faced immense difficulty in sealing Torino wing-back Raoul Bellanova.
Within last year’s campaign, the French international has featured in 14 Ligue 1 matches, registering a single goal and assist for Stade Rennes.
Roma are keen on continue their impeccable summer market after having already obtained midfielder Enzo Le Fee of Stade Rennes, Girona’s Artem Dovbyk, Argentine winger Matias Soule, and full-back Samuel Dahl.
