Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes has insisted that Exequiel Palacios will remain at the club beyond the summer transfer window.
While the likes of Jeremie Frimpong and Moussa Diaby could leave the club for the right price, the central midfielder will definitely not be sold despite potential interest from other clubs, according to Rolfes.
“He will definitely stay,” Rolfes is quoted as saying by Kicker.
The Argentine, who became a regular starter under Xabi Alonso last season, has a contract with the club until 2025.
