Manchester City are reportedly keen to reward Rodri for his excellent performances with a bumper new contract.
The 27-year-old has been excellent since arriving at the Etihad Stadium in 2019.
He has made 247 appearances across all competitions, bagging 25 goals and 28 assists.
The defensive midfielder has helped Pep Guardiola’s side win three Premier League titles, the Champions League, FA Cup and the League Cup twice.
According to the Mirror, City are prepared to hand the Spaniard a new deal that will take his basic wage to £300,000 per week.
Rodri currently earns £180,000 per week, but the English giants want to tie him down to another deal.
City are challenging for the Premier League title with Arsenal and Liverpool, while they are also bidding to retain the Champions League trophy.
They eased past Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday, with Kevin De Bruyne scoring a brace in a 4-2 league victory.
They face a tricky fixture with Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Rodri will undoubtedly be crucial to their hopes of making further progress in the competition.
