Sky Germany reports that Eintracht Frankfurt defender Robin Koch will make his stay at the club permanent upon the expiry of his contract at Leeds United.
Koch is currently on loan at Frankfurt from Leeds but his contract at the Championship side expires in the summer meaning he is free to negotiate with clubs about a free transfer.
Now, the 27-year-old will sign a contract until 2027 at Frankfurt. Since joining in the summer, Koch has been a big part of the Frankfurt defence playing all but two games in the Bundesliga. The defender’s main aim is to play for Germany at Euro 2024 and regain his place back in the national team.
Koch is likely to be seen as a leader along with Kevin Trapp in a relatively young Frankfurt defence for the future. Koch currently plays next to William Pacho but with Nathanial Brown and Aurèle Amenda set to join the club in the summer, the 27-year-old’s experience will be needed even more.
