A Sport Bild report has shed light on an interesting clause in Serhou Guirassy’s contract with Borussia Dortmund.
According to the report, the Guinea international earns €250,000 for every 20 combined goals and assists.
In addition, like the rest of the squad, Guirassy receives bonuses for winning points in the Bundesliga and Champions League, as well as for achieving special milestones.
At maximum, these clauses can reportedly boost his earnings from his €9 million base salary up to €11 million.
Interestingly, Guirassy was seen arguing with Ramy Bensebaini over who would take the penalty after the referee pointed to the spot in Borussia Dortmund’s 4-4 draw with Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Ultimately, Bensebaini took the penalty, as agreed with head coach Niko Kovac before the game, meaning Guirassy missed an opportunity to move one step closer to a bonus.
