Real Madrid will not make another offer for Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid will not return for Kylian Mbappe this summer after the French international rejected them last summer, according to AS.

At the moment, Los Blancos are reportedly not considering a move for the Paris Saint-Germain attacker. The higherups at the La Liga club are angry that Mbappe never apologised after turning them down on the verge of a deal last summer.

While debates stoke around whether Real Madrid should return for him following his performance against Poland at the 2022 World Cup, it is not a topic for consideration in the Valdebebas offices. It has not crossed their mind.

Real Madrid’s leadership has not considered or studied a third attempt to sign Mbappe.

President Florentino Perez and general director Jose Angel Sanchez feel betrayed by Mbappe. The 23-year-old gave them his word that he would join Real Madrid.

Furthermore, he encouraged them to forget a pre-contract agreement, and they believed him.

Mbappe changed when Real Madrid thought they were close to getting his signature in May. He stopped responding to messages and picking up the phone. He signed a contract extension with PSG, and the La Liga champions considered it a betrayal.

The club is reportedly focusing on signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham this summer. He is their primary goal/target in the transfer market.

However, Real Madrid are wary of his €150 million price tag, but they believe they have an advantage over Premier League rivals. They think Bellingham prefers a move to Spain to a return to England.

Real Madrid will also start laying plans to sign Erling Haaland in 2024. The 22-year-old Norwegian striker has a €180 million release clause in his contract. Only foreign clubs (clubs not in England) can trigger it.

Real Madrid are happy to pay the release clause. The 14-time UEFA Champions League winners see him as one of the top scorers of the next decade.
