Two members of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid have, on Friday, secured for themselves individual awards.
The players in question? Vinícius Jr, and Brahim Díaz.
Beginning with the former, wide-man Vinícius has seen his stellar recent form rewarded, by the Real Madrid faithful.
This comes with the Brazilian having been officially named as Los Blancos’ Player of the Month for January.
Vinícius, for his part, enjoyed a month to remember last time out, finding the net five times in six appearances, including a hat-trick in the final of the Spanish Super Cup against Clásico rivals, Barcelona.
And joining the 23-year-old in seeing his brilliance rewarded on Friday comes teammate Brahim Díaz.
Attacking midfielder Díaz, for his part, has seen his name take its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital over the course of the last 72 hours.
This comes after the former AC Milan man conjured up a moment of individual magic, to guide Real past RB Leipzig in the first leg of the Champions League Last-16 tie between the clubs.
Cutting in from the right flank, Díaz danced his way into the Leipzig penalty area courtesy of a wonderful run, before bending a sumptuous finish into the far corner of the net.
And, today, the strike has been voted as UEFA’s official Champions League Goal of the Week:
