Real Madrid star targeted with boos by home fans again vs Real Betis

Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. was again the target of frustration on the part of the club’s supporters on Sunday.

This came owing to his performance in Los Blancos’ latest outing.

Xabi Alonso’s troops of course kicked their fixture list for 2026 into gear earlier this evening, in a La Liga meeting with Real Betis.

Vinícius for his part featured from the off, from his customary berth on the left flank.

And though Real Madrid ultimately emerged on the right side of a 5-1 result, the club’s fans, again, appeared unhappy with the contributions of Vinícius.

The Brazilian has been singled out for regular criticism this season, struggling to string together a consistent run of performances.

And on Sunday, Vinícius was targeted once more.

Upon being hauled off late in proceedings in Spain’s capital, considerable sections of the home crowd responded by aiming whistles and jeers in the direction of the 25-year-old.
