A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid could be set for an extended incoming spell on the sidelines.
The player in question? Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Right-back Alexander-Arnold of course took his place centre stage in the headlines in Spain’s capital yesterday evening.
This came after the summer arrival at Real Madrid was forced into an early departure from Los Blancos’ Champions League opener against Olympique Marseille.
En route to a 2-1 victory, Alexander-Arnold lasted just minutes, before limping out of the clash with a muscular problem.
Real Madrid have since confirmed that their defensive star has suffered ‘a muscle injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg’.
The capital outfit failed to provide a return timeline for TAA, but as much has since been revealed by a number of further sources across the Spanish media.
As per a report from club insider Arancha Rodríguez:
‘The estimated recovery time is between 6-8 weeks.’
