Kylian Mbappé’s (25) move to Real Madrid is yet to be confirmed, yet according to L’Équipe, there are already concerns regarding the impact that he will have on the environment at the club.
France captain Mbappé announced his departure from Paris Saint-Germain in May, bringing an end to a seven-year stay at the club. However, in his announcement, he did not reveal his future destination. There is no doubt, however, Mbappé will join Real Madrid, and according to L’Équipe, the officialisation of his move to Los Blancos will come on Monday, after the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund.
However, L’Équipe understands that there are some mild concerns surrounding the impact of the Frenchman’s arrival. The La Liga side’s recruitment in recent years has centred around individuals that put the collective first, bringing an end to the infighting that had preceded the current era. The club are therefore “slightly concerned” about the impact that Mbappé’s arrival will have, even if these concerns are not shared by Real Madrid’s dressing room, who are excited to welcome another world-class player to their ranks.
