Real Madrid are looking to bring back Como star Nico Paz, who has been making huge waves in Serie A.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder left Santiago Bernabeu last year to join the newly promoted Serie A side in a deal worth €6 million and has since made an outstanding impact.
In his debut campaign last term, Paz was instrumental in Cesc Fabregas’ side punching above their weight and playing an attractive brand of football. He concluded the season with six goals and nine assists, while being named Serie A Best U-23 star.
The Argentine international has started the 2025/26 season even more impressively, bagging two goals and an assist in three games, with both strikes being long range belters.
Paz’s scintillating form has alerted Madrid. It has been widely reported that they want to trigger his €10 million buy option which will become valid next summer.
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, there are two more clauses in the Argentine’s contract. Madrid had passed up a €9m buy-back option this summer, but they can avail a €11 million clause in the summer of 2027.
In addition, Los Blancos have retained 50% of his future sale and even included an option to match the offers for Paz if other suitors approach Como.
The former Castilla star rejected an offer worth €70 million from Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer as he wanted to continue his progress in Italy with the plans of succeeding at Madrid in future.
Xabi Alonso’s side already have two best attacking midfield prospects in Arda Guler and Franco Mastantuono, meaning the competition will only get tougher for Paz if he returns to Bernabeu.

Paz has laid the foundation for yet another productive campaign in Serie A. His stature will only continue to grow if he keeps performing at this level.
