Supporters of Spanish giants Real Madrid have flooded to social media in the early hours of Sunday, to make clear their frustrations with head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
This comes on the back of what ultimately proved to be a disappointing night for Los Blancos.
Real marked their return to action late on Saturday, making the trip to the Mestalla for a highly-anticipated La Liga showdown with Valencia.
The evening’s visitors headed into proceedings in the knowledge that a victory would have seen them open up a nine-point advantage atop the Spanish top-flight.
When all was said and done, however, Ancelotti and co. were forced to make do with a share of the spoils.
This came owing to a 2-2 stalemate.
After Valencia raced out into a shock 2-0 lead owing to goals on the part of Hugo Duro and Roman Yaremchuk, Real clawed their way back to level terms, courtesy of Vinícius Jr’s brace.
The efforts of the capital giants to carve out an all-important third, though, ultimately came up short, after Jude Bellingham saw what looked set to prove a last-gasp winner ruled out in the most controversial of circumstances.
But, whilst it is the subject of the late-game chaos which has since understandably taken its place front and centre in the post-match headlines, as alluded to above, many of a Real Madrid persuasion have opted to direct their grievances squarely in the direction of head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
This comes owing to the Italian tactician’s treatment of youngster Arda Güler.
Midfielder Güler was left on the bench through the full-time whistle at the Mestalla once more on Saturday, despite his side having been in need of some magic in the final third.
And, safe to say, as much has not gone down at all well with the Blancos faithful…
