Updates on the futures of two key members of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid have come to the fore this afternoon.
And the news will no doubt be met with widespread approval on the part of the Real faithful.
This comes amid claims that the powers that be in Spain’s capital have come to the decision to offer both Toni Kroos and Dani Carvajal new contracts.
The former’s situation marks a particular pressing one, ahead of the expiration of his current terms in the summer.
As per a report from SER Deportivos, though, Florentino Pérez and co. have no intention of bringing in fresh blood in the middle of the park with a view to next season.
This comes with German international Kroos set to be offered a one-year extension, amid confidence that the 34-year-old intends to stay put:
And joining Kroos in being rewarded for his fine performances this season will be full-back Carvajal.
Spanish international Carvajal has exploded back into life over recent months, looking back to his very best on the right of Carlo Ancelotti’s backline.
In turn, as per Marca, Florentino Pérez and co. will soon offer to extend the 32-year-old’s terms by a further year, to the summer of 2026.
