Last night Real Betis suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Atlético Madrid in the 11th round of La Liga.
During the game Luiz Felipe felt a pinch in the back of his leg and had to be substituted in the 20th minute of match. According to Marca, the Italian-Brazilian will be out of action until at least the end of the World Cup.
While this will not be a concern for Roberto Mancini as Italy are not going to the World Cup, he will miss crucial games for Los Verdiblancos before the season takes a break in November, including fixtures against Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Valencia.
Youssouf Sabaly is also out of action, who left the field with a sore foot. It is believed that the Senegalese full-back will be sidelined for Real Betis’ next two games.
Despite their injuries, Real Betis must push on if they want to finish in the Champions League places of La Liga this season.
