Fabrizio Romano reports that RB Leipzig have reached an agreement with Goztepe to sign Rômulo (23) for €25m including bonuses as a replacement for Benjamin Sesko.
The Saxony club – who failed to qualify for European football – will pay a base transfer fee of €20m plus a further €5m in performance related bonuses. Rômulo’s Turkish club will also receive a percentage of any future sale of the Brazilian forward.
Rômulo scored 13 goals and provided nine assists in 29 games for the Turkish Süper Lig side last season, and is seen as an excellent partner alongside Loïs Openda.
RB Leipzig also working on a deal to sign Fabio Silva
But RB Leipzig aren’t stopping there. They have also reached an agreement with Wolves forward Fabio Silva (23) over personal terms, although they face competition from fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund to sign the Portuguese forward. Wolves are demanding around €30m including bonuses for the 23-year-old this summer.
