As reported by Florian Plettenberg, RB Leipzig have held talks with Manchester United’s Anthony Elanga.
The 21-year-old is free to leave Manchester this summer if he wishes. The Saxons have held talks with the Swedish international but a potential transfer is not advanced just yet.
Leipzig face competition from several other top European clubs who are also monitoring the situation. In January, it was reported that Borussia Dortmund were also looking at Elanga. Elanga would be a player that would fit nicely into the Dortmund ethos of developing young talents and turning them into high-quality players. Regardless, it’s clear Elanga is ready for a move this transfer window.
United value the young Swede somewhere between €15m-€20m. The youngster has struggled for playing time at Old Trafford having fallen in the pecking order. However, when he has played, Elanga has shown great potential and signs that he could be a top striker.
