Raphaël Guerreiro is reluctant to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer despite the club seeking to sell him as he enters the final year of his contract, according to WAZ.
BVB have already made several high-profile signings this window and are looking to move on a few players in order to make room. One of those is 2016 European Championship winner, Guerreiro.
With 12 months still remaining on his contract, Guerreiro can’t physically be removed from the club if he doesn’t want to.
It’s been reported for several weeks that Dortmund are interested in Hoffenheim full-back David Ruam with interest also coming from Manchester United. Only if Guerreiro is to leave the Westfalenstadion, would they be able to sign someone like Raum. Guerreiro’s reluctance to leave could therefore half a possible move for Raum.
Another reason Dortmund would opt to sell the full-back would be his reoccurring muscle injuries which have sidelined him for weeks in previous seasons. The Portugal international missed 11 Bundesliga games last season.
