Sky Germany are reporting that Ralph Hasenhüttl is the favourite for the job at Hoffenheim after TSG sacked Andre Breitenreiter earlier today.
Hasenhüttl can imagine managing Hoffenheim and positive talks between the two parties have already taken place. The Austrian has experience in the Bundesliga having spent two seasons at RB Leipzig when they first reached the Bundesliga, and managing Ingolstadt’s first season in the top flight. He has been without a club since being sacked by Southampton in November.
There are three other names on the list for Hoffenheim with Domenico Tedesco, Pellegrino Matarazzo and Florian Kohfeldt currently available. However, Hasenhüttl is the top candidate for the job.
Hoffenheim are currently winless since October when they beat Schalke 3-0. They now find themselves 14th in the table three points clear from relegation but at the weekend they lost to relegation rivals Bochum 5-2. Their next game is against Bayer Leverkusen who have turned their season around since the last time the two teams met.
