Here’s what Jarell Quansah had to say in his first interview as a Bayer Leverkusen player.
Speaking to Sport BILD for the first time since becoming a Leverkusen player, Jarell Quansah shared his first impressions of his new team.
“It has obviously been a long flight [to Brazil] and I was a bit tired yesterday, but being able to familiarize myself with everyone, yeah, it has been good so far,” ex explained.
The English centre-half touched on his personal ambitions at the club and his friendship with Nathan Tells who he knew before signing.
“I think it’s more… it’s team based – I think the better the team does, the better I’ll do as well. The better we do together, I think, the more I’ll improve as a player.
“I’ve known of him [Nathan Tells] and he’s obviously an English lad who played up north in England.
“It’s always good to have someone so friendly and someone to speak to straight away, and he has been able to sort of get me involved with everyone as well,” Quansah added.
