Although the prospective signing of Ousmane Dembélé from Barcelona is dominating this headlines this Monday, Paris Saint-Germain have also been looking to bring in another French forward in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani.
The French international has long been a target for the Ligue 1 champions in the wake of his impressive breakout season in the Bundesliga last year after joining from Nantes – 23 goals and 17 assists in all competitions.
L’Équipe indicate this afternoon that, although sporting advisor Luís Campos had previously indicated in private that the deal was off, PSG are now renewing their efforts to sign the striker. Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi himself has reached out to the player’s entourage, and talks have now been moving forward. They are set to step up once the Dembélé deal is finalised, represented by the same agent.
With Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane both out of reach, PSG have instead opted to sign Kolo Muani – who would become the third French international to join this summer. The Bundesliga side, meanwhile, are still hopeful that the 24-year-old will stay on for the coming season.
