French manager Zinedine Zidane has set his sights on landing the managerial job at Juventus, reports RMC Sport.
Zidane has been without a job since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, but his name has regularly appeared on the transfer market.
Being long-term admirers, Paris Saint-Germain have shortlisted Zidane as a top candidate to replace under-fire Christophe Galtier as the new head coach this summer, but the above report serves as a setback for the Ligue 1 giants.
Zidane also rejected an opportunity to manage PSG last year before the appointment of Galtier, as he was keen on the national team job at the time.
With Didier Deschamps extending his contract with Les Bleus earlier this year, Zidane has been forced to reconsider his options, identifying Juventus as his next destination.
Zidane has also been subject to a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr for the head coach role, where he can also reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo, but the former Madrid gaffer seemingly wants to stay in Europe.
The report also adds that Zidane is eager to lead his former club Bianconeri even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Firstly, his transfer relies on the future of Massimiliano Allegri, who has a contract running until 2025.
It looks hard at the moment for the Bianconeri to replace the Italian tactician, who has revived the Old Lady this season, notwithstanding the controversies off the field.
Allegri has led Juventus to the semi-finals of the Europa League after defeating Sporting CP in the quarter-finals last night on a 2-1 aggregate.
Moreover, the Italian giants also had their 15-point ban overturned temporarily yesterday, which has seen them move to third in the Serie A rankings.
Elsewhere at PSG, Jose Mourinho and Thiago Motta are under consideration for the managerial role.
There are also possibilities for Galtier to continue as the head coach should PSG fail to find any suitable alternatives.
