PSG extend pre-season tour of Asia with South Korea leg

Paris Saint-Germain have announced the extension of their pre-season Summer tour in Asia. Since yesterday, the PSG senior squad, called up by newly-appointed Spanish manager Luis Enrique, have been in Japan. Among some mandatory sponsor-related activities, Les Parisiens are due to play three friendly games in Japan. The first of these friendlies will see PSG lock horns with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabia outfit Al-Nassr on July 25th in Osaka. Three days later, PSG will face J-League 1 team Cerezo Osaka. Champions League runners-up Inter will then face a Kylian Mbappé-less PSG August 1st at Tokyo.

PSG were then due to return to France. However, they  announced on Friday morning that they would travel to nearby South Korea for a two-day stay. This unplanned leg follows the recruitment this summer of Korean player Lee Kang-in, the country’s first footballer to play for PSG. As part of the Coupang Play Series, Les Parisiens are due to face last year’s second-placed side Jeonbuk Hyundai on August 3rd at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
