As reported by L’Équipe, PSG’s versatile defender Abdou Diallo is set to leave Ligue 1 for the Middle East this summer transfer window.
The Senegalese international, now 27 years old, is in talks with Qatari club Al-Arabi over a move to the Qatar Stars League, having been left out of Paris’ pre-season tour of Asia and has been training at the club’s new HQ alongside fellow exiled players such as Kylian Mbappé.
Negotiations have been ongoing for several days between the two clubs, report the sports daily, and he is set to follow his younger brother, Ibrahima Diallo, to last year’s World Cup host country after the former Southampton and Brest midfielder moved to Al-Duhail recently.
The older Diallo brother, meanwhile, has been out of favour at PSG for some time and spent last season on loan with Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, where he made just 15 appearances in all competitions, scoring once.
