According to Foot Mercato, negotiations between Manchester United and South Korean defender Kim Min-Jae (26) have hit a roadblock in recent weeks, as the player’s future hangs in the balance. While the Red Devils initially considered him a top priority, the lack of progress has opened the door for other interested clubs, including Newcastle, PSG, and Chelsea.
Manchester United had already shown an interest in Kim Min-Jae, offering him a lucrative deal equivalent to the wages of a star striker. However, despite ongoing discussions between the Manchester club and the player, negotiations are currently on hold. This situation is benefiting other clubs who are ready to seize the opportunity.
Newcastle has emerged as a potential destination for Kim Min-Jae in recent weeks, making significant strides in their pursuit of the South Korean star. The allure of regular playing time and the prospect of being a key figure in the Magpies’ defence have caught the attention of the 26-year-old defender.
PSG and Chelsea have also set their sights on Kim Min-Jae. Both clubs have been monitoring the player’s performances closely, and could look to take advantage in a lull in negotiations for the defender. Kim Min-Jae has impressed this season, winning Serie A with Napoli after featuring in 33 appearances, scoring two goals in the process.
