A few days ago, Spanish outlet Relevo reported that Aston Villa are one of the teams most interested in Atlético Madrid’s Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha.
Cunha is expected to leave the La Liga club in January but according to Relevo, it remains to be seen whether it will be a transfer or a loan with the option to buy.
Wolves have taken the lead to sign the player, as reported by Cadena SER and later confirmed by Relevo.
The race for Cunha is open and Everton and Leeds have also knocked on the Madrid club’s door to enquire about his situation and see if a deal is possible.
Atlético bought him in the summer of 2021 for €26m. In the coming weeks, a solution could be found.
