Portugal play Switzerland in the round of last 16 of the World Cup later today.
Despite losing to South Korea on the final match-day, Portugal were still able to top Group H.
Fernando Santos is expected to include two players from La Liga in his starting XI and feature some of his key players that he rested against South Korea. Real Betis’ William Carvalho will most likely feature alongside Bernardo Silva and Rúben Neves in the Portuguese midfield, while Atlético Madrid’s João Félix will probably play on the left-hand side of Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal’s attack.
If both Spain and Portugal manage to beat their respective opponents today, they will set up an Iberian derby in the quarter-finals.
Predicted Portugal lineup against Switzerland:
AS predict that Santos will field the following starting XI against Switzerland: Diogo Costa – João Cancelo, Pepe, Rúben Dias, Raphaël Guerreiro – Bernardo Silva, Rúben Neves, William Carvalho – Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo, João Félix.
The match is set to kick off at 8 pm CET.
