Piotr Zielinski set for new Napoli contract

Piotr Zielinski is expected to continue wearing the Napoli shirt following significant improvements in hs contract renewal situation.

According to a report by Sky Italia, Piotr Zielinski has rejected advances from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli and is set to renew with Napoli.

The Middle Eastern clubs are on a buying spree this summer, bringing in top players from Europe’s top five leagues to develop their league. The Polish midfielder was on their watch and despite making a humongous bid to him, the player’s wife proved influential in convincing him to stay at Naples.

The 29-year-old’s contract was due to expire in the summer of 2024 but now it will be extended for a few more years, despite previous interest from Juventus.

This Sunday will be decisive as the Partenopei will formalize an agreement with Zielinski after their opening Serie A fixture against Frosinone. The official announcement from the club is expected to be released this weekend.
