Paris Saint-Germain are planning to make a huge contract offer to snap up Marcus Rashford on a free transfer, according to The Mirror.
A total package worth up to £850,000 per week is reportedly being prepared for the 25-year-old, who is in the final few months of his current contract at Old Trafford, although United have the option to trigger a 12-month extension which would buy them time to negotiate a new deal.
PSG held an interest in Rashford last summer and the Ligue 1 giants are still keen on a move as recently confirmed by their president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
“He [Rashford] is another player that is really amazing,” Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports News.
“And for free? To have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely.
“We’re not hiding it, we spoke before but the moment was not a good moment for both sides – maybe in the summer, why not?
“Today if he’s a free agent of course we can talk to him directly but we are not going to talk to him now.
“Let him focus on the World Cup then after in January, hopefully, if we’re interested we will talk to him.”
Off the back of a poor end to the 2021-22 season, Rashford has started the current campaign on a high with eight goals and three assists across all competitions so far.
The England international also scored three goals for his nation in their World Cup journey which agonisingly came to an end at the hands of defending champions France last night.
Rashford is now expected to team up with his United teammates in the coming days ahead of their EFL Cup clash against Burnley on December 21, six days before the Red Devils resume Premier League duty with the visit of Nottingham Forest.
