Dani Olmo is nearly two weeks removed from his partial ligament rupture against Frankfurt and is hoping to be back with the team in a few weeks time. After seeing Leipzig narrowly lose to Real Madrid, he especially wants to be ready for their rematch against the Spanish giants on October 25 at the latest.
When discussing that upcoming fixture with Bild, the 24-year-old Spaniard stated, “I want to be there. – Currently, I’m not worried about it either.”
Olmo is working his way back to fitness as quickly as possible in hopes that he can also still make Spain’s World Cup squad. The ‘Leipziger Volkszeitung’ reports that Olmo, who’s contract expires in 2024, could be nearing a contract extension with the Red Bull club.
